**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Catholic College Wodonga has on offer a twelve-month traineeship providing support to teaching staff in
the implementation and execution of the College’s Religious Education programs throughout 2024.
Responsibilities of the role will include organising, attending and participating in Youth Ministry, RITE
Journey, Call To Action and other curriculum based activities and events for all year levels, managing the
resources and pray spaces of classrooms and common areas and providing support for the ongoing
development of the Religious Education departments’ growing identity. You will also be assisting with and
attending youth programs. Applicants must have a high level of verbal and written communication and
understand the importance of planning and administration. High levels of organisation and the ability to
self-manage are essential for success in this role. The successful applicant will complete a Certificate III in
Education Support through AFL Sports Ready.
Child Safety - Be familiar with and comply with the school’s child-safe policy and code of
conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety.
- Assist in the provision of a child-safe environment for all students.
- Demonstrate duty of care to students in relation to their physical and mental

wellbeing
- Understanding of and commitment to Child Safe Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key
Accountabilities
This role works closely with the Religious Domain Instructional Leader to support
Religious Education programs across the College and the wider community.

- Provide classroom support for all year levels. This may include:

- Supporting students in literacy tasks.
- Gathering resources at the direction of the staff member.
- One on one or small group classroom content support.
- Modelling SWPBS, prayer, classroom expectations

- Provide ACE (Activities, Camps & Excursion) support: RITE Journey, Youth

Ministry and Call To Action
- Attend, participate and provide organisational support for:

- Calling and Departure
- Youth Ministry Community Service
- Call To Action activities
- RITE Journey Clyde Cameron
- Youth Ministry Pathways Camp
- Yr 12 Youth Ministry Canberra
- Yr 11 Condobolin
- RITE Journey camp “Into the abyss”
- Other activities to be confirmed.
This participation and support for College activities will also include:

- Travelling with groups to and from venues.
- Assisting with content delivery of sessions at venue.
- Working with CCW students and outside community members.
- Manage prayer spaces in classrooms and common prayer areas.
- Peer led activities and prayer.
- Promote Feast Day awareness and Nganala activities/events.
- Manage RE resources at Nganala.
- Communicate and liaise with external organisations.

Certificate
Qualification

- Completion of academic work that is aligned to the role within the given time

frame. This may occur during:

- Selected times during school hours
- Additional times out or school hours
- Regular online or face to face supervisor meetings
- Attend a Trainee Development Program Camp

**SALARY**

$21,500 - $30,000 plus 11% Superannuation
- National Training Wage Award
