Government agency looking for RFH Assessors to assist with public works.
**Your new company**
Our client is a government agency based in Brisbane that provides a number of products and services to assist in the building and maintenance of government owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities. They are currently looking to add several RHF Assessors to their programs to assist with home assessments and capital works projects.
**Your new role**
You will be responsible for assessing and analysing the cost-effectiveness of projects in regards to home evaluations and maintenance enquiries to ensure recommendation strategies are effectively implemented. You will coordinate with homeowners and licensed contracts to provide education on flood risks, resilient building design, materials, and technical aspects related to flood resilience. Additionally, you will maintain a schedule of assessments through data collection to provide further support to project stakeholders and homeowners.
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will come from a background in building, quantity surveying, supervising, or estimating, with a relevant discipline in this field. You will have proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs in order to complete regular project reporting, as well as knowledge on building materials, practises, costs, project scope, and building processes. Given this role includes both office-based and remote work on site, class 'C' driver's licence is also required for this role. Experience in property assessments, estimating, or related fields focusing on prices, quantities, materials, and scope would be highly desirable.
**What you'll get in return**
You will be offered an immediate start in an initial 3-month contracted/casual role with a government agency with the possibility of an extension, located in Cannon Hill. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying an AO5 hourly rate + super.
