**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Responsibilities of the role will include assisting with arts, music and drama classes; as well as assisting with
co-curricular events and activities. This would include supporting and assisting in practical classes, school
productions, band rehearsals and maintaining equipment and resources used by these departments. The role
includes working with students and staff in a variety of Arts classes and supporting the Learning Area Leader: Arts,
Music Director and Production Co-ordinators. Applicants will need to be able to work both independently and as
part of a team, be mature and responsible, have good communication skills, a strong work ethic, show initiative and
have a commitment to the ethos of the College.
- Key Responsibilities Providing support to students and staff within the Arts department
- Assist in Arts, Drama and Music classes as required
- Assist with School Productions
- Assist with Junior and Senior Band
- Organisation and assistance with equipment preparation
- Management and ordering of materials and consumables for the Arts

department (stock control)
- Classroom preparation and pack up
- Assist with printing (large format printer) students’ artworks
- Assist on excursions to galleries all year levels
- Support the learning of students at the College within the classroom as

required
- Any other duties as directed

- Knowledge of art materials and Techniques.
- To have studied in the Performing and or Visual Arts.

**SALARY**

$21,500 - $30,000 plus 11% Superannuation
- National Training Wage Award
- Fully Funded Qualification

- People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
- This position is best suited to a recent secondary school leaver.
