**About the opportunity**:
The Manager, Aboriginal Engagement is a newly created role that will drive Aboriginal engagement across SRLA, acting as the key contact point for both internal and external engagement for the organisation and the SRL program, including rail delivery and precinct development. The role will lead development of key working partnerships between SRLA and Aboriginal communities, including Registered Aboriginal Parties, to drive positive outcomes for the SRL program and the Victorian community.

**This role will see you**:

- Act as the key point of contact for Aboriginal engagement within SRLA, advising on and undertaking best practice engagement with Aboriginal communities and Traditional Owners in Victoria.
- Lead the management of Aboriginal engagement within SRLA, including leading internal working groups, and monitoring and evaluating engagement activities to identify and action continuous improvement opportunities.
- Work with relevant teams and branches within SRLA to facilitate engagement with Traditional Owner groups to build meaningful relationships and ensure an integrated approach to partnerships and engagement for SRLA in the development and delivery phase.
- Lead the development and implementation of the project’s Aboriginal Engagement Strategy to establish guidelines and ambitions for the organisation to engage and communicate with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians in relation to the delivery of the SRL program.
