**Our Opportunity**

Star Group is offering an amazing opportunity for a service technician to join our team in Canberra. The Service Technician completes allocated minor electrical maintenance works, repairs all other minor service-related tasks on various sites assigned by the Service administration team. This position also provides leadership and is responsible for all workplace Apprentices under their direction and control.

This position also provides leadership and is responsible for all workplace Apprentices under their direction and control. The responsibilities include:

- Health & Safety
- Planning & Scheduling
- Quality Control
- Leadership & Supervision
- Administration
- Comply with Internal Policies / Procedures

The Qualifications & Experience We Are Seeking
- Electrical experience in Service and maintenance (essential)
- Completed White Card (essential)
- Electrical License (essential)
- Elevated Work Platform (EWPA card) (desirable)
- First Aid certificate (desirable)
- Must be flexible and adaptable with the ability to multi-task, ensure deadlines and client priorities are met
- Able to communicate effectively in writing with strong attention to detail, is organised and competent to manage time and administrative duties.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with a diverse team, including subcontractors
- A proactive and motivated attitude with a willingness to develop and learn new skills.
- Knowledge of and experience with the implementation and compliance of safety requirements, processes, and procedures
- Strong industry knowledge based on several trades and extremely competent in interpreting drawings.
- Able to identify problems early and find solutions. Be assertive and proactive to resolve problems efficiently.
