About the role
Working as part of a vibrant team of pastoral carers, music therapists, social workers, and bereavement counsellors, you will contribute to the holist wellbeing of patients, residents, families, staff and volunteers at Calvary Kooyong. This position involves the opportunity to work across a variety of Calvary Kooyong service streams, including Bethlehem Health Services and Huntly Suites residential aged care home. With the benefit of a supportive interdisciplinary team, this position is ideally suited to an early career pastoral care practitioner who is looking to grow their career.
**Your main duties will include**:
Providing inclusive pastoral care to people of all faiths and none
Assisting with coordination of regular religious, spiritual and/or secular services
About you
Completed a minimum of one and working towards two units of Clinical Pastoral Education, or minimum two years tertiary qualification (or equivalent) relevant to Pastoral Care/support practice
Registered with Spiritual Care Australia as Member (waged), Certified, or Advanced Certified
Relevant clinical experience and/or interest in aged care, palliative care and/or progressive neurology
Acknowledgement and understanding of different religious/faith backgrounds and a commitment to inclusive spiritual care practise for people of all faiths and none
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation

About Calvary Kooyong
Calvary Kooyong is a catholic, not-for profit, health and retirement precinct that comprises specialist palliative care and progressive neurology services (Calvary Bethlehem), residential aged care (Huntly Suites), and independent living units (Hyson Apartments). Calvary Bethlehem is a public health care service that specialises in palliative care and progressive neurology through our 32 bed inpatient unit, Level 5 Statewide Progressive Neurological Diseases (SPNDS) outpatient clinic, home-based Community Palliative Care Service (CPCS) and Day Centre. Calvary Bethlehem is also a National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIS) and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) provider.
