**About the company**
Our client is a well-known and reputable dealership 100% owned by the manufacturer. They pride themselves on offering a variety of services in the Agriculture, Construction and Plant industries.

**About the role**
The Workshop Foreman’s main role will be to coordinate and supervise the day-to-day workshop activities; monitor and undertake repairs and maintain equipment; liaise with the Service Supervisor on matters required for the effective operation of the workshop.

**Duties**
- Assist with the supervision of the day-to-day workshop operations
- Direct and supervise allocated employees’ work schedules
- Maintain communication with the Workshop Supervisor regarding the progress of repair and service work.
- Liaise with the spare parts team to determine the parts required for repairs
- Ensure safety principles and standards are always adhered to
- Coach and mentor apprentices
- Monitor and undertake repairs and maintain equipment as required
- Assist with and undertake pre-delivery inspections and modifications on new machines.
- Observe all safe working practices and the use of personal protective equipment as and when provided.
- Report ALL accidents, incidents and hazardous situations arising in the course of work.

**Skills and experience**
- Thorough knowledge of workshop operations
- Sound knowledge of servicing and maintenance of all plant - Good technical background experience in hydraulics and electrics for supporting machinery: e.g.: telescopic handlers, forklifts, tractors, earthmoving equipment, etc.
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal relationships and customer focus.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Developed team development and leadership skills
- Demonstrated supervisory experience within a diverse mechanical workshop
- Solid analysing and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical problems
