**THE ROLE**

As a valued member of our friendly and supportive drafting team, reporting to the Drafting Manager, you will play a crucial role as the BASIX Assessor helping to ensure our customer homes met the required standards in terms of energy efficiency. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to:

- Ensure that architectural plans comply with BASIX and NatHERS
- Provide high level of detail and accuracy when inserting building specifications into NatHERS and BASIX software
- Recommend and guide the drafting team in order to ensure that designs meet the associated requirements in a cost-effective manner, at times this may require you to give multiple options for upgrades based on customer needs and price point.
- Maintain effective communication between the members of the drafting team regarding any observations or insights gathered.
- Engage in collaborative work with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a current understanding of legislative developments.

**ABOUT YOU**

We are seeking a highly motivated and process-driven BASIX Assessor with an excellent work ethic, coupled with a positive, helpful, and dynamic manner.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

- Be accredited by NatHERS or part way accredited.
- Ideally, you will have experience with AccuRate, BERSPro and FirstRate5 software programs
- Construction experience in a residential environment, preferably within a volume home builder.
- Being able to understand and interpret house plans, drafting experience is highly regarded.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are important
- Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team
