Account Manager, Financial Planning

**The role**
The Account Manager is responsible for growing, developing and managing myprosperity’s relationships with our existing Partners. With a focus on the financial planning channel, this role works closely with the Head of Sales (Financial Planning) to drive the growth, adoption and ongoing engagement of myprosperity with financial planning partners. Through building and maintaining strong relationships with our partners and understanding their unique needs you will uncover, identify and develop new business opportunities for myprosperity.
Your proactive, positive, solution-focused approach and passion for fintech and the financial planning industry, will contribute to the overall success of myprosperity through deeper partner relationships that support the achievement of revenue targets.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Overall responsibility for the implementation and adoption of the myprosperity portal at a Partner and Client level
- A focus on continual growth and activation of Pro (upgraded) subscriptions with our existing Partners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with identified partner practice champions and key stakeholders
- First point of contact for all account management related matters for Partners and maintain a high level of engagement and satisfaction
- Develop new business via existing partners and work with the Head of Sales to identify and grow opportunities within the channel
- Be an active listener to understand the needs and pain points of financial planning firms to position myprosperity and be solution-focussed
- Be a myprosperity product expert of both the Partner & Client Portals
- Identify areas for product or feature improvement and be the ‘voice of the Partner’ internally
- Identify upselling opportunities with existing partners and cross selling opportunities within the financial planning channel
- Work closely with internal teams to build focussed marketing campaigns and provide feedback from the industry to influence ongoing product development.
- Be aware of industry trends, regulatory changes and competitive landscape and leverage market insights to make recommendations for product enhancements and innovations
- Team culture: Contribute positively to the team culture within the sales team and more broadly across myprosperity
**Key skills required**:
- Proven experience (5+years) in account management, sales or a similar role within the fintech or financial services industry
- Degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or substantial equivalent experience of specialist account management roles
- Solid understanding of financial planning processes and software solutions utilised in the industry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to build positive relationships quickly
- Have a results-driven mindset with a track record of consistently achieving set KPIs
- Experience with CRM software, ideally Zoho
- Excellent listening and analytical skills
- Willingness to travel as necessary to attend partner meetings, industry conferences and events
