A great opportunity for an experienced Copy Editor and Technical Writer to join this busy team for a long term 12-month temporary assignment.
**About the role**:

- Copy editing and proofreading corporate documents in line with the Australian Government Style Manual and internal style guides and standards, ensuring content accuracy and writing style consistency.
- Overseeing quality assurance of corporate documents ensuring they follow the Agency standards for accuracy, clarity and consistency.
- Conducting internal research to articulate business objectives through corporate reporting document narratives.
- Identifying opportunities to drive the adoption of new processes focused on continuous improvement of consistency and accuracy in corporate writing.
- Creating and updating technical guidance documents, procedural guides, project plans and governance frameworks.
- Regularly conducting reviews and evaluation of published content to ensure relevancy.
- Creating communication materials focusing on user experience, ensuring that complex Agency information is presented and meets plain English and accessibility guidelines for diverse audiences.
- Assisting in the management of reports processes and communications outputs.

**About you**:

- You will have exceptional editing, proofreading and writing skills.
- You will demonstrate experience editing, proofreading and writing for corporate documents.
- You will have highly developed editorial, grammatical and comprehension skills.
- You will have understanding of and ability to draft accessible and inclusive content.
- You will have exceptional attention to detail.
- You will have strong organisational and planning skills.
- You will have ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will demonstrate initiative, reliability and ability to work unsupervised.
- You will have intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office suite.
- You will have ability to work cohesively with a small team.

**Benefits**:

- ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance)
- 12-month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension
- Full time hours Monday to Friday
- Geelong, Melbourne, and Deakin ACT locations + hybrid working from home options.
- $60.26 per hour + Super
