- ($81,156 - 92,307) per annum (depending on skills and experience), plus an all incidence allowance of ($7,634 pa) per annum, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

**About us**
The Wollongong Electorate Office is the point of contact for constituents and local community groups to engage with the Member regarding state government services and responsibilities. They also provide policy advice, media liaison, research and preparation for parliament for the Member for Wollongong.

**About the position**

Electorate officers are the initial point of contact for all constituent enquiries. The role involves administrative and secretarial functions to support the Member and ensure the efficient operation of the electorate office.

Proficiency in the production of online digital media will be highly valued.

The role requires some after hours and weekend work for which an annual All Incidence of Employment Allowance is paid.

**Selection criteria**

1. Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to respectfully interact with constituents, liaise with community groups, government and non-government organisations
2. End to end management of events, forums, and community engagement activities
3. Demonstrated superior organisational skills to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines
4. Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgement, ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues, while performing at a high standard under limited supervision and within a team environment
5. Excellent writing skills including the ability to prepare correspondence, briefing notes, submissions, speeches, newsletters, online content and media releases
6. Good word processing/keyboard/database and computer skills in an office environment
7. An interest in, and understanding of, the NSW political context and Australian parliamentary procedures and processes
8. Demonstrated research and analytical skills including the ability to analyse policy and legislation.
