**About you**
In this role, you will undertake driving and labouring duties in road and drainage construction while maintaining a strong safety, quality and customer focus. Your contributions will aid in the success of your overall team in the Civil Construction Unit.

This is a temporary full-time, 4 month fixed term opportunity.

Key responsibilities include:

- Undertake labouring and driving duties in road/drainage construction in accordance with the outlined timeframe and under the instruction and guidance of the Supervisor and/or Team Leader.
- Assist the unit in providing a customer focused service and efficient operation.
- Work within Occupational Health and Safety Regulations/Codes of Practice and use all necessary safety equipment and safe work practices.
- Undertake additional duties to assist team members in completing projects consistent with Award and job requirements.
- Operate and maintain plant and equipment in an effective and efficient manner at all times.

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to perform manual work including lifting of weights and manual excavation in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines. You will have experience operating plant, including rollers, vibrating equipment and other minor equipment.

Essential:

- Current Victorian Drivers licence
- Heavy Truck licence
- Knowledge of relevant safe work practices within a civil engineering environment
