Ceramist and Framework

Nova Dental Art is dental specialist practice part of Nova Dental Global with branches across the world. Our state-of-the-art dental lab, recently fitted with brand new equipment, is located on the outskirts of Melbourne CBD (Brunswick) with easy access to public transport (Trains, Bus and Tram).

We are seeking Dental Technicians (Senior Dental Technician Framework) that are passionate, ethical, professional, energetic, highly organised with a keen eye for detail. The successful applicants’ primary responsibilities will be:

- Constructing dentures, bridges, crowns, veneers and inlays
- Setting up teeth on both full and partial dentures
- Creating models of patients’ mouths from physical and computerised mods.
- Creation of models using plaster, wax, porcelain, metal and handtools
- Making models of the mouth and teeth from impressions of the patient's mouth
- Usage of metal frameworks
- Filling orders for dental prosthetics
- Repairing and relining denture bases
- Making appliances for patients with cleft palates, braces and plates for correcting irregular teeth and mouth guards
- May need to travel to dental surgeries and/or hospitals for meetings with doctors and patients
- Undertaking any other relevant duties as directed by the Director

a. Framework

i. Investing and pressing e.max Crowns/Frame

ii. Prepare metal surfaces for bonding with porcelain to create artificial teeth, using small hand tools

iii. Place tooth Models on apparatus that mimics bite and movement of patient’s jaw to evaluate functionality of model

iv. make diagnostic wax-ups, Smile Design cases, dental composite work and pressable/e.max restorations

Successful Applicants will have:

- Relevant dental technician qualifications
- Excellent organisational, reliability and time management skills
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience

Annual salary will be between $70,000 and $75,000 (plus superannuation), depending on experience, qualifications and skills.

Successful applicants may also be given dedicated off-street parking and other perks.
