At BAE Systems we are all systems go as we continue to drive innovation and seek passionate and talented people to join our business. We currently have a Combat and Comms Technician opportunity within our Maritime Sustainment (WAMA - Warship Asset Management Agreement) based in Henderson, WA.

About the OPPORTUNITY
- Carry out corrective and routine maintenance on WAMA projects including, but not limited to, RF, Microwave and SATCOM technologies
- Conduct training to operators/maintainers using approved training material for identified Projects
- Assist in ongoing development and improvements to Training Programmes for identified Projects
- Lead or assist with the technical team where required, this may be on BAE sites or customer sites, as required
- Provide out of hours remote Technical Support to customer via on-call arrangements
- Obtain and maintain any other work related licences, certification, or qualifications as may be identified
- Lead or assist with any continuous improvement initiatives as directed by supervisor or other BAE Systems management
- Supervise and lead project teams
- Provide expert technical (Hands on) services to projects
- Mentoring to other Technicians
- Defect analysis, resolution and provision of detailed Technical Reports
- Preparation of technical detail to enable responses to tenders and quotations
- Assist in the design, construction and testing and acceptance of systems
- Development and/or preparation of accurate technical documentation including test procedures and reports.

About YOU
- The ability to obtain or hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance
- A Certificate IV Training and Assessment or the ability to obtain on the job
- Ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of difference audiences is critical to this role
- Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Previous experience working in a Defence environment would be highly desired
- Demonstrated experience of Installation, Integration, Set to Work, Acceptance testing and Defect Repair
