This role is working within the Dementia Centre supporting people living with dementia who are transitioning between different levels of care which could include hospital, residential aged care or home.
**Your opportunity**
The Workshop Facilitator will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care provided to individuals with dementia by focusing on capability and capacity building.
This position involves designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programmes and training initiatives for staff, caregivers, and other stakeholders involved in dementia care. The goal is to equip the team with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to deliver exceptional, relationship-based care and to foster a supportive and enabling environment.
**_ This role is offered as a maximum term contract up to 30 June 2028, aligned to the contract and funding of the program. It is based in Melbourne working out of our office in Malvern and offers working from home opportunities. _**

**Who you are?**
- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
- A minimum of two years demonstrated experience in the delivery of programmes in a face-to-face setting and online
- Proven experience in training and education, ideally within a health care or residential care setting
- Dynamic personality with the ability to engage audiences quickly with strong rapport building skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong learning agility
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with training technologies and software
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Current Australian driver’s licence with safe driving record and willingness to travel intra and interstate
**Desirable**
- Understanding of dementia care principles, person-centered care, and relationship-based approaches
- Certification or specialised training in dementia care or gerontology
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, health/allied health & education
**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to occasionally lift and move training materials and equipment
- Capacity to work in a variety of settings, including office environments and residential care areas
