**The Role**:
As the Distribution Centre Operations Manager, working closely with the Distribution Centre Manager, your mission is to establish a secure and operationally efficient distribution hub. Your focus spans all facets of inbound and outbound operations within the Distribution Centre.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise daily distribution centre activities, overseeing quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, productivity, and shipping.
- Schedule and lead the DC team to meet customer demands, managing workflow and quality to optimize efficiency while minimizing overtime.
- Manage the overall planning, organization, and operations of the distribution centre.
- Oversee all distribution functions, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and the safe storage of goods.
- Develop, coach, train, and mentor staff for consistent performance at desired levels.
- Collaborate across departments to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements.
- Initiate continuous improvement measures to enhance inbound and outbound processes, aiming to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Assist in developing and implementing business initiatives to enhance the profitability and operations of the warehouse(s) and distribution network.
- Consistently review process effectiveness and implement enhancement opportunities as identified and agreed upon by stakeholders.

- High levels of numeracy, abstract reasoning, and critical thinking skills.

- Demonstrated ability in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in a similar role within a progressive FMCG, Manufacturing, or 3PL Logistics environment.
- Previous experience managing operational budgets with sound commercial acumen.
- Sound computer skills.
