Iron Cove Global is currently seeking a District Geologist (Exploration) to join a global, multi-billion dollar mining company to assist with leadership and management of country district-driven exploration initiatives in the Middle East. The company is seeking an engaged, field and discovery-focused mineral exploration leader to facilitate the discovery of world-class gold & copper deposits in the region.

As District Geologist (Exploration), you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and executing exploration field activities, including drilling, trenching, mapping, geophysics, and geochemistry. You will also be responsible for compiling, organising and analysing data to generate, develop, and assess exploration targets. Additionally, you will be a key technical leader in the exploration team, driving exploration and geological best practice across work programs to deliver robust and high-quality geological target models.

You will collaborate across multi-disciplinary projects with counterparts from resources, mining, social, and legal departments, as well as execute weekly, monthly, quality reporting to senior management. Furthermore, you will mentor and develop local exploration geological teams and monitor QA/QC procedures to ensure the integrity of all project datasets.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Geology/Geoscience from a recognized institution;
- 8+ years’ mineral exploration, including 3+ years within supervisory roles;
- Extensive experience in orogenic, structurally controlled gold deposits is required, with exposure to Arabian-Nubian Shield geology and VMS, intrusion-related mineralised systems viewed favourably.
- Exposure to world-class exploration districts and Tier 1 ore bodies, with a track record of discovery seen advantageously;
- Firm understanding and recognition of mineralization models and geological processes;
- Geological/geophysical/geochemical interpretive and integration skills;
- Significant field-based exploration experience in Africa &/or the Middle East;
- Displayed ability to work within high-performing, multidisciplinary, successful teams;
- Demonstrated proficiency in GIS and 3D geological modelling software such as ArcGIS, Leapfrog Geo, Micromine, ioGAS is considered an asset.
