Qc Officer

The Brisbane Produce Market at Rocklea is Queensland's only central fruit and vegetable market, and the state's most important centre for the wholesale marketing and distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables. It records an annual trade in excess of 700 million kilograms of produce valued at more than $2 billion.

As a representative of these employers, Brismark is currently searching for an energetic and motivated person to fill a **Quality Control and Packing Officer **role for a successful and respected Wholesale business. This is a **full time** position, rostered days are **Monday to Friday**, starting between 5am and 7am each day.

The duties include:

- performing quality assessments on fruit and vegetable products against customer specifications
- ensuring finished product meets customer specifications prior to dispatch
- assisting with produce packing and grading as required
- assisting with admin tasks as required

The successful applicant must:

- Be physically fit, able to do manual work as this is a "hands on" role, lifting up to 15kg
- Have attention to detail
- Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Hold a **current drivers licence** with own transport
- Be well presented, reliable, enjoy working as part of a team and able to work unsupervised
- Have previous experience in a quality control position, especially in fruit and vegetables
- Possess a valid **forklift licence**

**Salary**: From $55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Fresh Produce: 2 years (preferred)
- Quality Control: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Driver's Licence (preferred)
