**The Opportunity**

While we are currently a modestly-sized company (approx. 30 staff), we have enormous potential and plans in place to achieve significant growth. To help us realise our potential, we’re seeking a suitably-experienced manager to lead and manage key operations central to business performance. Responsibilities included optimising efficiencies, service and quality relating to manufacturing/production, procurement, inventory and despatch. The role also oversees our development and delivery of our QMS.

Specific key responsibilities and priorities will include:

- Production and inventory planning and associated systems improvement
- Information management and reporting related to key areas of responsibility
- Ensuring the highest standards of production quality and that orders are fulfilled and despatched as scheduled
- Negotiating with suppliers, overseeing inventory/procurement activities and ensuring efficient warehousing of raw materials
- Contributing to product design, research, prototype development and testing etc
- Facilitating timely maintenance/servicing of production plant and equipment
- Ensuring the development and maintenance of a high-performance work culture (the role will manage a small team)
- Overseeing development and implementation of Ensitech’s QMS, and ensuring ISO9001 standards are met and accreditations maintained
- Ensuring work health and safety continues to be a key focus of our operations
- As a member of the Senior Management Team, contributing effectively to the development and delivery of overall business strategy.

**About You**

This is an exceptional opportunity for a capable operations/production manager to take on this newly-created role with an innovative, proudly Australian manufacturing company, and make a significant contribution to growth.
- knowledge and experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods and processes, procurement, inventory management, warehousing and distribution etc
- experience in an industrial manufacturing and/or distribution environment (desirable)
- demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a high-performing team
- a strong commercial focus supported by a proactive, “hands on” approach to work
- proven customer service focus
- a good understanding of ISO9001 principles, and experience working with a QMS
- great communication skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels
- excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- demonstrated ability to drive operational change and contribute to commercial performance in a manufacturing or production context.
