Development Victoria is a key delivery partner for the sports infrastructure required to host events at the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games, along with the four Games villages that will welcome athletes and team officials at regional hubs in Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat and Gippsland.

**The Role**

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bring your communications and engagement experience to one of Development Victoria’s key projects - delivery of sporting infrastructure and villages for the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The primary objective of the **Communications & Engagement Advisor** is to support the effective delivery of one of this work through the provision of high-quality communications and engagement support.

The Communications & Engagement Advisor will work with communications and project teams to prepare, implement and manage integrated communications, stakeholder and community engagement strategies to support the project. Developing collateral for major work and infrastructure, identifying and supporting media opportunities and developing issues management strategies will also be a part of your role.

**About You**
- Experience in communications, journalism or corporate affairs, preferably in a government or infrastructure/construction setting
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with project partners and other stakeholders
- Experience developing and delivering communications and engagement plans, media and issues management strategies
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to assist with the development of high-quality content across print, online and digital channels including social media
- Collaborative by nature and enjoy working as part of a diverse team while also maintaining a strong and well-regarded presence across the organisation
- Willingness to travel regionally depending on project needs
