**Selection Criteria**:
**1.** **Demonstrated ability to skilfully and efficiently undertake general handyperson tasks, repairs and maintenance to the interior and exterior of buildings and grounds work within a school environment.
**2.** A strong work ethic, eye for detail and a sense of pride in efficiently completing work to a high standard as well as the ability to work independently and to follow instructions.
**3.** Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with tradespeople, suppliers, school staff and students.
**4.** Ability to identify and assess potential risks that may impact on the school community including contractors and visitors.
**Role**:
The Maintenance person will undertake regular maintenance, upkeep and ongoing improvement of school facilities and grounds at Braybrook College as directed by the Maintenance Manager and/or Principal.
**Responsibilities**:
- ** **Minor repairs to fixtures and fittings
- Repairs to doors and windows
- Repairs to desks and chairs
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all external areas including lawns, gardens, paths and hard surfaces
- Removal of graffiti
- Minor painting works
- Assist in ensuring classrooms and furniture are in good working order
- Other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager and/or Principal
