**About the role**
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working closely with the operations team. Off the tools role with a great focus on maintenance and repairs.

**Duties**
- Managing 8-10 Technicians
- Experience in leading a heavy vehicle workshop.
- Qualifications in Mechanical Trade.
- Experience in maintenance programs.
- Strong knowledge and experience in heavy vehicle maintenance
- Experience and knowledge of Department of Transport legislation.
- Intermediate computer skills - ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong Diagnosis Skills.
- A valid HR licence is desirable
- A valid forklift licence is desirable

- Managing a team of mechanics over multiple shifts
- Optimising staff utilisation
- Promoting a health and safety culture
- Spare parts inventory management
- Managing breakdowns to an efficient outcome
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Supervise workshop and equipment functions through both internal resources and outsourced subcontractors
- Create and implement service and repair plans within the workshop
- Oversee the administration of all works carried out
- Carry out admin tasks associated with the running of the workshop.
