Drainer/pipe Layer

Due to the ongoing demand for services, My Australia Direct Pty Ltd is accepting CV's for the position of Drainer/Pipe layer on a full-time basis.

You will be responsible for laying pipes for storm or sanitation sewers, drains and water mains, grading trenches or culverts, positioning pipes and sealing joints.

A salary of $70,000 - 80,000 is on offer depending on your skills and experience.

**Tasks**
- Access, read and determine requirements from relevant job plans and specifications
- Determine material quantities, mark out, measure and cut as required
- Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.
- Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.
- Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue.
- Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
- Cut pipes to required lengths.
- Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools.
- Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools.
- Install and repair sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systems.
- Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints, andcoordinating layouts with supervisors.

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Certificate III or equivalent trade qualification/apprenticeship or at least 3 years employment in lieu of formal qualifications
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Sound knowledge of WH&S practices

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
