**Business Development Manager - Pharmaceutical**
**Melbourne location preferred, will consider NSW or QLD**
Our client is a leader in process technology, known for their design and build of turnkey process plants and robotic systems.
The company is looking to build upon their success in Australia and are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team in Australia to further grow the company's presence across the pharmaceutical, bio-tech and laboratory industries.

Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing networks, acquiring new clients and nurturing key accounts.
- Primary goal is sourcing new clients and successfully landing engineering and project engagements.
- Build strategic relationships with key personnel in target markets and deliver diversified strategies, based on your technical knowledge in order to respond to customer's requirements.
- Initiate and drive the whole procurement cycle, from identifying potential clients and their needs, to working out solutions with the technical team, preparing offers and concluding contracts.
- Establish a representation at target exhibitions, initiate and participate presentations and webinars in the market.
Required skills & experience:
- Ideally process automation sales and business development experience to the Pharmaceutical sector. Must be able to demonstrate a track record of success.
- Consideration will also be given to those without automation experience, demonstrating strong sales experience into the pharmaceutical sector or those with automation sales experience to other aligned sectors such as biotechnology or laboratories.
- Qualification or degree in process engineering or any pharmaceutical field is highly desired.
- Understand how to manage projects and show patience in long sales cycles.
- A team player, able to work in a small business environment and willing to take on additional responsibilities when required for the benefit of the team.
