**About the Role**
- Working closely with business units to ensure that all procurement and contract activity throughout Council complies with relevant policies, legislation and standards and staff are aware of including but not limited to, probity, due diligence and risk management.
- Support Procurement team in promoting and maintaining best practice procurement and contract management across organisation.
- Ensure that the highest possible professional standards are maintained in relation to confidentiality, probity and ethical conduct; effectively managing all conflict of interest queries and issues.
- Provide advice, support and guidance for quotation activities to Council as directed by the Coordinator Procurement & Contracting in relation to all tendering matters.
- May require panel arrangements to be established and reviewed.
- Participate in and Chair tender evaluation panels as directed.

**Skills & Experience**
- Understanding & knowledge of the public sector / local government procurement policy and practices. Experience in Local Government highly regarded.
- Well-developed commercial / business acumen
- Experience in a procurement and contracting environment
- Experience in continually improving using and administering systems and software packages including Microsoft products, report writing tools, financial and procurement related systems - Capability to provide training and present to groups of staff
- Bi-lingual skills an advantage
