**The Role**

**Classroom Teacher**
**Term 2 Commencement (or as soon as possible)**
**Full-time or part-time, ongoing position**

- Selection criteria: _
- Motivation and ability to confidently teach in an Autistic School
- Demonstration of knowledge, skills and personal qualities to address the needs of autistic students in their early years of schooling
- Empathy and compassion in the classroom
- Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values
- Demonstrated competence in classroom management
- Commitment to continuous improvement, best practice teaching & learning, and innovation
- Capacity to work collaboratively with parents and school staff to implement quality student centered strengths based autism pedagogy

**Relevant qualifications and experience**:

- Hold a bachelor's degree in education or equivalent qualification(s)
- Hold VIT registration or be eligible
- Full working rights for Australia
- Graduates welcome and encouraged to apply
