**About Us**
Moreish Cafe is a popular takeaway cafe open 7:30am - 3pm Monday - Friday, dedicated to providing our customers with delicious food & coffee paired with friendly service.

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and lead a small team of cafe staff providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Consistently adhere to the highest standards of coffee preparation, ensuring the correct grind, extraction time, and milk texture.
- Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
- Operate coffee equipment & ensure they are properly maintained and cleaned.
- Oversee daily cafe operations, including food and beverage preparation, catering, inventory management, and cleanliness of the premises.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards, ensuring that all menu items are prepared to a high standard.
- Develop and implement effective marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers, increase sales, and enhance brand awareness.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and licensing requirements.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, effective communication, and professional development opportunities for staff members.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a takeaway or quick-service cafe setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on creating a positive customer experience.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu development, inventory management, and health and safety standards.
- Strong skill in barista work, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art.

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Maitland, NSW 2320: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
