**About the Business**

Our Safer Family Services team delivers a range of services, including intensive family support and multi-agency responses, to help children stay safely at home with their families and avoid the need for out-of-home care. They also help families with parenting support, workshops and connection to community events and initiatives to improve child safety and wellbeing.

**Role Details**

The South Australian government with support from the Commonwealth Government Department for Social Services, is piloting a new pre-emptive early intervention program for infants aged 6 - 18 months showing developmental differences in social/emotional communication. The ‘Inklings’ Program will be funded through Office for Autism and piloted through essential SA government delivery partners.

The Inklings Practitioner is a role within Safer Family Services and is accountable to the Disability Consultant for:

- providing the evidence-based Inklings program for children aged between 6-18 months, identified as meeting the eligibility criteria for the program
- providing individualised collaborative clinical support to all participants following the program session outlines including the family-focussed ‘Next Steps’ supports report
- completing participant data and evaluation surveys as requested by Safer Family Services business unit and the Inklings program
- maintaining certification in Inklings program delivery.

**Special Conditions**

- Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
- Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).

**Essential Qualifications**

Incumbent must hold an appropriate Social Work qualification from a recognised tertiary institution giving eligibility for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers; an appropriate Speech Pathology qualification from a recognised tertiary institution giving eligibility for full membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia; an appropriate Occupation Therapy qualification from a recognised tertiary institution which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist; or an appropriate Psychology qualification from a recognised tertiary institution which entitles registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.

**Salary Range**: $88,255 - $102,240 (AHP2)
