CNC Setter/operator

The company manufactures all types of drilling rigs and post-sales, we offer our clients a comprehensive total product support system. We have an engineering component that supplies all aspects of works from manual and CNC machining to welding and fabrication expertise to our external stakeholders.

Due to growth in our business, we are seeking an **experienced CNC Operator & Setter** to run a variety of CNC Mills and lathes. This position offers a great variety of work. The applicant must be a trade qualified machinist and hold a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

As a CNC Operator your everyday responsibilities will include:

- Performing a range of metal machining work to standard befitting a fully qualified metal machinist tradesperson;
- Setting up of workshop machines to enable the manufacturing of parts from raw material to meet the exact specifications of the drawings supplied;
- Choosing the correct machine tools and inserts;
- Calculating and setting cutting parameters;
- Manual CNC lathe programming;
- CAM CNC programming;
- Machining parts to the required tolerances and surface-finish requirements; and
- Grinding custom inserts for one-off special jobs.
- Ability to read and understand CNC programs (ISO based)
- Interpret engineering drawings
- A focus on quality and efficiency
- Ability to perform in a team environment and also work autonomously
- A strong focus on workplace safety and quality
- Maintaining QA and production records as appropriate
- Being involved in ongoing improvements and learning
- Driver's license and own transport

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
