An exciting opportunity has become available for a Waste and Environment Officer to join the Johns Lyng Disaster Management Australia (DMA)

**The Role**:
Are you motivated by the prospect of helping communities recover from natural disasters, as well as making communities better prepared for the future? If you take pride in contributing towards the success of major projects and have a keen interest in sharing knowledge and gaining knowledge, we would love to hear from you now.

**Experience**:

- Support with general administrative duties across Environmental, including managing the relevant systems, programs, equipment and general program support.
- Waste and safety reporting and compliance, managing date and processes to ensure compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience working alongside and multi-disciplinary teams including contractors
- Major projects experience including inception to delivery with demonstrable outcomes and direct community engagement
- Demonstrated experience with accountability in the successful delivery of communication as well as experience relating to people at all levels
- Demonstrated well developed conflict management skills

**Essential**:

- Tertiary qualifications (Certification, Diploma and above) in Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or relevant degree;
- Demonstrated ability to assist in the interpretation of guidelines or policy;
- Drivers Licence

This role is a 12-month contract. That said, we always endeavour to develop and retain talent within our business. A review will take place at the 9-month mark to discuss ongoing permanent opportunities.
