The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community
About the role
The Operations Manager will lead and manage the team responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MCV Service Centre and ensure a quality and standardised service is provided for all digital public enquiries and administrative functions in line with the MCV Service Centre Service Level Agreement.
In order to provide effective service delivery, the role requires a high level of expertise in managing teams in a complex environment and an advanced understanding of the operating environment and needs of court users.
The Operations Manager is responsible for embedding service centre services and identifying and implementing business process re-design to improve the court user experience and operational efficiencies.
The Operations Managers may work in a specific jurisdiction or across jurisdictions.
The Operations Manager is expected to be an operational service centre staff member and exercise registrar powers conferred under the Magistrates' Court Act 1989 and other legislation as required. The Operations Manager will provide oversight to ensure the team's legislative and operational compliance and provide additional coaching and support to service centre staff as require
About you
You have extensive operational experience as a Registrar in the Magistrates' Court of Victoria. You have experience leading and managing teams in a high volume setting.
You are committed to service excellence.
