As we expand our operations we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) Advisor to join our dynamic team.

**About the role**:

- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with applicable HSE Legislations, regulations, Codes of Practice and standards.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
- Develop and update company policies and procedures to align with HSEQ requirements.
- Conduct internal ISO audits and inspections to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
- Where necessary, this role may be called upon to support our international branches.**:

- Provide leadership and guidance to teams across various locations to promote a strong safety culture and proactive risk management strategies.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification to determine potential risks to employees, the environment and property.
- Implement strategies and control measures to mitigate identified risks and prevent accidents, injuries and environmental accidents.
- Incident and near miss investigations to determine root causes.
- Maintain records of incidents and near misses throughout the business.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate toolbox talks and safety meetings to ensure compliance and understanding throughout the business.
- Keep up to date with all legislations, regulations and industry best practices and implement any changes with the business.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, third-party auditors, and external partners to facilitate compliance activities and resolve any compliance-related issues effectively.

**About you**:

- Tertiary Qualification in OHS/HSE, or higher.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success implementing HSEQ systems and initiatives.
- Internal auditing experience to ISO systems or willing to obtain these skills.
- Experience in the Mining, Construction or Manufacturing industries is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant HSEQ legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices in Australia.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to engage with employees at all levels and effectively deliver training and awareness programs.
- Understanding of Mine site and induction requirements.
- Understanding of client contractor qualification processes.
- Understanding of ISO standard 31001 Risk Management.

**Desirable Qualifications**:

- Experience with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.
- Knowledge of local and international HSEQ regulations and best practices.
- Certification as a Lead Auditor in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or ISO 9001.
