Our company has medical suites catering for 5 oncologists, hematologist, genetic counselors, dietitian, a boutique day infusion unit with state-of-the-art equipment, a clinical research department and an onsite pharmacy to ensure personalised and efficient treatment.

**About the role**
We are seeking a **Practice Manager **with business acumen to join our administration and management team. The role will be **full-time** with working hours as** Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm**. We are looking for a highly motivated leader to manage and lead a team of medical receptionists and the practice.
Previous experience as a practice manager in an oncology setting and business management experience will be highly desirable.
**Skills, Qualification and experience**
**Essential**
- Qualifications in business or health management (_a certificate course or a degree is preferred)_
- Previous experience as a practice manager
- Exceptional customer service skills both in person and on the phone
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
- Excellent staff management and organisation
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of private practice finance and billings
- Business acumen
- Demonstrates high level of computer literacy
- A willingness and attitude to learn and grow with the practice
- Strong time management and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure with a proven record to follow through with requests
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with medical software (preferably Genie and SimDay), medical objects & Medicare billing and private billing practices
**Desired**:
- Experience in an oncology setting
- Proven knowledge of medical terminology, Medical oncology knowledge, skills or experience is preferred
- Knowledge of private practice billing and day infusion unit billing
- Marketing skills
**Responsibilities**:
- Works with physicians to develop patient services
- Designs and implements workplace procedures
- Liaises with doctors, practitioners and other department employees, to ensure they have necessary support
- Manages and leads daily practice operations, including appointment scheduling, billing procedures, debt collections, cleaning, security and occupational health and safety
- Oversee and implement all finance processes in the clinic
- Be part of the Tasman Health Care management team for overall business growth and improvement
- Leads a team made up of receptionists, doctors and practitioners
- Manages office supplies and patient resources
- Manages patient records and IT system '“ liaises with IT providers to ensure systems remain functional
- Evaluates appointment procedures and patient services
- Recruits, trains and supervises new administrative employees
- Interacts with patients and gains customer feedback about the practice
- Addresses patient complaints in a compassionate and timely fashion
- Manages the production of patient brochures, newsletters and other correspondence
- Monitors the practice's progress in meeting standards
- Implements accreditation process to meet the Health Care standards
- Attends and organizes relevant meetings
