Seeking a role that will utilise your financial analytical and cost reporting skills whilst contributing to a project that could change our world for the better?

We have the perfect opportunity for a Business Advisor to join our Strategy & Business Development team located at our HQ in Booragoon and embark with us on the Alcoa journey to advancing sustainably

Reporting to our Director - Strategy & Business Development, in this role you will be supporting an exciting project development within the niche High Purity Alumina (HPA) market which is high-value product that plays an important role in a low-carbon future. In this role, your key focus and purpose to support implementation and achievement of the project and will contribute to departmental strategic objectives by:
- Facilitating monthly accrual, costing, and forecasting processes.- Supporting with financial modelling and investment analysis.- Creating and maintaining project cost accounting ledgers.- Analysing cost, preparing reports, and presenting on forecast, budgets and performance.- Managing and reporting joint venture specific financial requirements such as cash call & cash transfer processes.

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce - majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related field of study.- Relevant experience within a similar role and industry with strong technical accounting skills and an understanding of accounting standards.- Creative approach to solving problems with an ability to take initiative and deliver to tight timeframes.- A high level of analytical and systems skills capable of working both independently and as part of a diverse team.- An ability to communicate effectively and build positive stakeholder relationships at all levels.
