Quality Inspector

They are looking for an Quality inspector to ensure that the quality of their product is maintained to the highest of standards, and that this translates to customer satisfaction, and repeat business.

**Position Purpose**
- Verify customer’s product and its compliance to standards and specifications.
- Utilise your skills and expertise to advise on suitable techniques required to achieve appropriate standards and customer expectations.
- Assist Quality Manager in the development of the Integrated Management System.

**Quality Inspection Activities**
- Perform, as instructed, quality assessments on incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
- Measure product dimensions, Surface Finish, hardness and examine functionality, and compare the final product to the Job Card specifications.
- Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality is maintained.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
- Teach the production team about quality concerns to improve product excellence.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
- Carry out calibration processes as required by the company’s IMS.
- Carry out Non-Destructive tests to assess compliance with the scope of works.
- Other duties as instructed by the Quality Manager.

**To be successful for this position you will need to have the following**:
a) A tertiary education in a mechanical Trade, such as Fitting and Machining or Toolmaker.

b) Minimum five years’ experience as a machinist in the above-mentioned trade.

c) An operational Knowledge of MS Office products.

d) Suitable mathematics and technical skills.

e) Ability to read drawings and technical data.

f) High attention to detail
