Teach Kids Coding During School Holiday Camps

Code Camp is Australia’s leading specialist school holiday and after-school provider We are looking for fun and energetic casual staff to assist at our creative-tech camps during the winter school holidays.

**Are you**:

- Experienced or interested in working with kids (ages 5-12)?
- Passionate about technology and creativity?
- Trustworthy, independent, punctual, and reliable?
- Able to work full days between 8am - 4pm during the school holiday period (1st - 12th July)?
- Someone who feels confident speaking in front of a group and is enthusiastic and adaptable?
- Able to supply your own laptop to run the teaching presentation?

**About the position**:
Camps run for 2-3 consecutive weekdays 8am - 4pm (we do not run on weekends or public holidays). You will be provided our coding lesson plan to deliver to a small class of primary-aged children - they’ll come away with their very own 2D/3D games or website

Paid training provided as well as support from a qualified teacher on the ground and our tech-support team via Slack. Please note, our staff are required to supply their own Laptop and HDMI adapter (if required).

**Required Skills/Certifications**:
Whilst we don’t require a specific degree or coding experience, you should have some of the following experience (or similar):

- Beginner coding or robotics knowledge is beneficial (especially in javascript or scratch), but not essential.
- Experience working with young kids preferred
- Mature outlook, common sense, and ability to identify and take action to manage risk and ensure active supervision of children inside and outside the classroom
- Fluent conversational English
- Valid Employee Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain immediately)
