The System Reform unit leads the Department of Health's reform agenda for public health services in Victoria. In this role you will support development and delivery of an ambitious forward reform agenda to address critical system priorities arising from COVID-19, along with broader strategic priorities such as budget initiatives and Government commitments. You will be required to operate in a dynamic environment with curiosity, enthusiasm and initiative, working collaboratively within and across teams to support transformative change in the Victorian health system. Analytical thinking, creativity and communication are important aspects of the role, as is a commitment to positive and collaborative workplace cultures.

Accountabilities
- Contribute to the development and provision of advice and sound policy recommendations to senior management and government.
- Undertake research and contribute to the development of a range of policy and initiatives within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Assist with monitoring and reporting on high priority issues, risks and trends and with preparing and presenting comprehensive reports, ministerial briefs and cabinet and agency submissions on complex issues.
- Support effective working relationships and the flow of information across the department and with key external stakeholders.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records and information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
