Carpentry Apprenticeship

Great opportunity for new entrant and existing Carpentry Apprentices. Work on building completed house frames, floor cassettes and roof trusses plus first fix carpentry in comfortable factory conditions before moving to site and learning installations.

NTHA in partnership with our host employer in Aldinga is seeking a carpentry apprentice to complete a Certificate III in Carpentry. We are eager to hear from you if you have an interest in learning about building wall frames and roof trusses, plus exposure to other aspects of the construction industry

An excellent opportunity to join a construction company at the forefront of home building. You will work in their comfortable factory constructing the frames and trusses for new house construction. The building industry is rapidly moving towards the majority of the houses being built off site and assembled on site and this Australian Apprenticeship will see you gaining solid training. Due to rapid growth and expansion we are looking for people to join their team. Plenty of opportunities to grow within the company and take your career to the next level.

This role would ideally suit someone who is physically fit, completed year 12 maths, and has an eye for detail.

**What's involved?**

During the training contact duration you get to the learn the following:

- Set up timber floor and wall trusses
- Read and interpret timber truss, floor and frame plans
- Erect roof trusses
- Operate a truss press
- Wall framing including curved wall construction and raked wall
- Timber and Steel Beam preparation and processing
- Cladding & Window installation
- Learning how to use the 3d computer model for fabrication and site construction (this is the future)
