**Job Title: Timber Floor finisher**

**Salary range: $75000 - $85000**

**Location**: regional Victoria (Travel required to regional areas including Geelong, Gisborne, Ballarat, Mornington Peninsula, Shepparton, Yarrawonga, Point Lonsdale, Torquay,)

Due to increasing demand from Master Builders and various regional areas across Victoria, we are seeking a reliable Timber Floor Installer to help us meet the growing demand in regional areas. The role involves traveling to multiple locations throughout regional Victoria, so a current Victorian full driver’s licence with a clean driving record is a must have.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install a range of timber flooring types to specification, including solid timber, parquetry, vinyl, hybrid and engineered flooring, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Measure areas, estimate material quantities and handle baseboard trims as needed.
- prepare surfaces, including screeding, removal of old floor coverings such as tiles and carpet as necessary, and installing sub-flooring to ensure a stable and level foundation for flooring installations.
- Cut and fix underlay materials, lay various floor coverings (such as timber blocks and cork tiles), and ensure precise fitting and pattern alignment.
- Manage intricate and custom installations, including complex patterns and designs, to meet specific project requirements.
- Implement and oversee rigorous quality control measures to ensure all installations meet our high standards.
- Work with the team to understand and incorporate customer preferences into the installation process, ensuring their needs are met.
- Stay informed about industry trends, standards, and new techniques.
- Act as the primary contact for resolving any issues during the installation process, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with industry-standard safety guidelines and protocols.

**Qualifications/Experience/ Skills**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in timber floor installation.
- Certificate III in Flooring Technology preferred or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Proficiency in surface preparation techniques, such as grinding, patching, and leveling.
- Valid Victorian FULL driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- A basic communication in English to be able to complete induction tasks; and to communicate effectively with builders or supervisors.
