**Position Information**:
Glenquarry is a small rural community with approximately 200 residents, situated in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Glenquarry Public School was established in 1869 and has a current enrolment of 22 students consisting of a range of students in K-6. It has a Family Occupation and Education Index (FOEI) of 86 and is classified as a TP1 school. There are a small number of Aboriginal students, and several students receive integration funding to support their learning needs. Glenquarry Public School prides itself on successfully catering to the diverse learning, wellbeing and health care needs of its students to ensure that every child, every day is able to learn, grow and belong. Student voice and parent collaboration are key aspects to the strong partnerships that exist between school and home.
**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary.
- Exceptional operational experience as a teaching principal to effectively manage administrative and organisational responsibilities while providing enriching educational experiences in a small school setting.
- An approachable and empathetic leader with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of genuine collaboration with parents, staff, and students to deliver a clear vision for school excellence.
- Ability to lead and drive a culture of continuous improvement underpinned by research-informed pedagogy, data driven practices and targeted professional learning in supporting the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Outstanding educational leadership skills in the implementation of effective wellbeing and curriculum programs that improve attendance, inclusivity, engagement and learning outcomes for all.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
