Actuarial Analyst

**Your New Role Looks Like This**:
The Actuarial Analyst position is a permanent position based in Melbourne supporting the Head of Actuarial Services - Retail, with all key monthly, quarterly and annual actuarial processes including actuarial valuations, investigations, experience monitoring and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for monthly outstanding claims liability estimation
- Prepare required actuarial inputs for regulatory reporting
- Develop actuarial models and processes to ensure compliance with accounting and prudential standards
- Support the preparations of monthly and quarterly experience monitoring reports, including the production of the annual financial condition report
- Assist in the annual premium round process by providing analytical, data reconciliation and technical review support
- Perform product pricing/ benefit costing, including extracting and analysing data, preparing projections and preparing actuarial assumptions documentation
- Assist in one-off projects where actuarial or analytical support is required
**About You**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, statistics or actuarial science
- Familiarity with database software such as SQL, SAS and R will be an advantage
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem solving skills (structured and methodical)
- Demonstrated high proficiency in Excel
