**The School of Agriculture, Food and Wine seeks to appoint an emerging leader in soil science with experience in undergraduate learning and teaching.**

The School of Agriculture, Food and Wine is one of several Schools in the Faculty of SET, and represents a world-class concentration of scientific research, education and product conferring capability, with infrastructure and resources at the Waite Campus of the University of Adelaide.

**To be successful at Level A, you will need**:

- A PhD in soil science or a related discipline.
- Experience in teaching at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, with an ability to contribute to course development.
- Demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision to deliver excellent educational outcomes, including demonstrated capacity to relate to students from a variety of backgrounds.
- A track record relative to opportunity in soil science research or related field evidenced by papers in peer-reviewed journals, and trade journals, patents or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate research results to a diverse set of academic, industry and lay audiences as well as strong organisational, time management, intercultural and interpersonal skills.

**To be successful at Level B, you will need**:

- A PhD in soil science or a related discipline, with at least 3 years’ postdoctoral experience.
- Experience in teaching at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, with an ability to contribute to course development and the introduction of novel approaches to teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality teaching-related activities including assessment, marking, pastoral care and maintaining online learning platforms connected with courses.
- A strong track record in soil science research or related field evidenced by papers in peer-reviewed journals, and trade journals, patents or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision to deliver excellent educational outcomes, including demonstrated capacity to relate to students from a variety of backgrounds.
