**About the role**

Mater is currently seeking a dedicated **Inpatient Billing Officer - Theatre** to join the Inpatient Billing Team. This is a **permanent part-time** (22:48 hours per week) position based at Mater’s new corporate office in Newstead.

In this role you will ensure efficient and effective processes are performed, in order to capture theatre data in a timely manner.

**Salary range: $79,017 - $87,055 (MCAS4) p.a. plus superannuation and salary packaging**

**What you’ll be doing**

As an Inpatient Billing Officer - Theatre, you will:

- Coordinate the completion of all relevant documentation to ensure all chargeable items are recorded correctly
- Entering all CMBS item numbers and Prosthesis items into our PAS system (iPM)
- Record any procedures performed where a CMBS item number was not obtain
- Liaise with Practise Manages to capture CMBS item numbers not recorded at the time of procedure
- Perform weekly reconciliations
- Liaise with billing and supply staff on a regular basis
- Run daily utilisation reports
- Ensure good working relationships between staff, key personal and customers

**About you**
- Extensive knowledge of CMBS numbers and prosthesis items.
- Some knowledge in health fund billing and/or related debtor management
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, including excellent telephone manner
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to have complex financial conversations with patients in a sensitive manner
- Attention to detail and accurate entry of patient’s financial details
- Demonstrated competence in accurate data entry, administrative duties, billing/accounts procedures
- Ability to be flexible and multi-task is essential
