**About the Role**

Bush fire Assessment is evolving into an emerging and valuable industry as a social responsibility in Western Australia. As the local councils have mandated BAL assessments for residential developments within bushfire prone area, the demand for qualified services is on the rise.

The Bushfire Risk Assessor is responsible for visiting building sites throughout the metro area and conducting measurements, vegetation assessments and taking site photos. The position will establish and maintain working relationships with all internal staff to ensure the BAL (Bushfire Assessment Level) are conducted & reports created to comply with AS 3959-2009.

The role will include fieldwork, problem solving and communication with internal staff and sometimes Termico customers.
- Key responsibilities are:_
- Drive in a company vehicle to the building sites located all over Perth
- Attend the client site location and using the proposed site plans, will assess the level of risk to the proposed building based on the surrounding vegetation and overall landscape.
- Use the range finder to measure dimensions of the blocks.
- Following the site visit, the assessor will send all information to the office so a comprehensive bush fire attack report can be issued to the client.

**Essential Prerequisites**
- Possession of a current unrestricted C Class Western Australian driver's license
- BPAD Accredited Level 1 Practitioner License
- Relevant experience of minimum 3 months
