Nepean Private Hospital is seeking experienced Food Services Assistant’s to join our team on a Full-time, Part-time or Casual basis

In this fast paced and varied environment you will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

This role will see you involved in a variety of kitchen and hospitality tasks including food preparation, delivery and customer service. There is also the opportunity to work in the environmental services department.

**As a Food Service Assistant your responsibilities will include**:

- Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
- Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
- Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required.
- Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture.
- Provide high standard of customer service
- Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
- Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development

**Essential Criteria**:

- Previous food services experience in Healthcare, Aged care, Hotels, or similar
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Hold a valid NSW Working with Children check
- Commitment to service excellence.
- Proven time management skills and ability to manage priorities
- Strong communication and customer skills
- Attention to detail
- Work well independently and within a team
- Available for on call shifts including weekends

The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating Theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

We are investing in our future with an exciting $38M redevelopment which will see our Hospital grow to meet the needs of our growing community with 4 new operating theatres, purpose built pre-admission area, new sterilising department, new foyer and retail space, new consulting suites, refurbished main entry and a new car park.
