**About the opportunity**

The Group Sustainability Office acts as a Centre of Excellence that delivers sustainable commercial outcomes, accountability, and transparency for Australia Post by optimising the social, environmental & economic impacts of our operations.

The Sustainability Analyst (12 Month Fixed Term Contract) will support the execution of the 2025 Sustainability Roadmap by assisting with the analysis and reporting of environmental sustainability data. The Sustainability Analyst will work closely with the Sustainability Manager (Energy & Carbon) and the Sustainability Manager (Waste, Resources and Circularity), supporting them with the collection and analysis of data, and the submission of detailed sustainability reports.

**You’ll be responsible for**:

- Support in deriving actionable insights, that contribute to better environmental outcomes for Australia Post, including through regular reporting.
- Support continuous process improvement based on data and best practice insights.
- Develop presentations and reports based on the input received and insights developed.
- Support energy, carbon and waste/recycling data analysis and monthly reporting - including processing, validating, and reviewing of complex environmental and asset datasets, including through our new environmental reporting platform, waste reporting tool, and Carbon Calculator.
- Support external customer reporting, including through providing insights and reports to contract customers on carbon profiles.

**About you**

You will have a passion for dealing with complex data, developing processes and providing analysis of trends specifically for the environmental reporting requirements of Australia Post. You will be able to support the organisation with new legislative reporting requirements and communicate the impact to a range of stakeholders with less technical understanding.

**What are we looking for?**
- Strong analytical skills and high level of business acumen
- Sustainability analytics and reporting experience
- Comprehensive understanding of Corporate Responsibility/Sustainability reporting.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (with Advanced Excel and knowledge of SQL)
- Experience in working with complex datasets efficiently and effectively.
- Proven ability for problem-solving, and simplifying complex problems and processes
- Experience with and understanding of sustainability and compliance reporting - experience processing energy, carbon and waste data will be highly regarded.
