You're someone who thrives in the dynamic world of procurement, where every decision you make directly impacts operational readiness. As the LSD Purchasing Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials vital to Babcock and the CLCM Enterprise, with a laser focus on supporting HMAS Choules, LDS.

In this role, you will work hand in hand with the Purchasing Lead, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners. Your mission? To ensure that materials for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance are readily available, keeping the assets operating at peak efficiency. Additionally, you'll be responsible for replenishing ADF stock holdings, ensuring the ship is always prepared for whatever challenges lie ahead.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Under the direction of the Purchasing Lead ensure an effective and productive procurement team.
- Work as directed in the conducting market research, issuing of quotes and raising of Purchase Orders for the LSD.
- Under the direction of the Purchasing Lead engage with members of the Engineering and Maintenance teams in understanding the stores and material requirements for future ships availabilities for the LSD.
- Engage collaboratively with all suppliers and stakeholders that are members of the CoA and Babcock supply chain to ensure a smooth and efficient procurement process and always providing clear and accurate communication; and
- Ensure all procurement Information systems are accurate and the data contained in the systems is well maintained.

**About you**

You bring a minimum of four years of procurement experience, including hands-on LSD purchasing. Proficient in MILIS, LNIDS, SAP, and MS Office Suite, you navigate complex procurement processes effortlessly. Your ability to build effective relationships at all levels and juggle multiple tasks independently ensures nothing falls through the cracks. With excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, you thrive in team environments. Experience with the ADF or Defence Industry, and a Diploma/Certificate in Logistics or Procurement, would be advantageous.
