**The role**

In conjunction with delivering its Vision 2025 + strategy, David Jones is currently in the middle of a multi-faceted and organisational wide transformation as it transitions to new ownership. Reporting to the Head of People as part of the transition management office (TMO) the Change Partner will be crucial in ensuring our people, processes and ways of working are enhanced to effectively deliver Thriving Culture as well as commercial objectives.

Partnering with a diverse mix of stakeholders and in partnership with People team, you will identify, develop and execute change plans to minimise people impacts and embed sustainable change. Including integrating multiple initiatives to support the TMO, you will work to assess level of change and appropriate plans required to meet deliverables while maintaining an enterprise-wide view.

Based in Melbourne with a hybrid mix of time in the office and home, this will suit a commercially astute HR transformation/change lead with a diverse set of project management and business leadership capabilities.

**_ Please note, this is an initial 12-month fixed term contract with potential for extension._**

For success in this role you will positively influence change by:

- Implementing change management strategies to support the delivery of desired future state
- Determining business readiness for specific and holistic change
- Undertaking stakeholder assessments to identify issues, risk and challenges associated with change
- Partner with People team and key leaders, to effectively implement, embed and sustain change
- Ensuring impacted stakeholders are supported throughout through execution of agreed plans
- Partner Project & Work Stream Leads and TMO Sponsors to ensure success of the change
- Proven experience managing business critical change/HR transformation initiatives end-to-end
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A people orientated approach coupled with growth and performance mindset
- Design and running of the governance cycle including change impact and readiness assessments
- Previous experience working in HR Business Partnering / Change or OD style roles
- Extensive experience delivering transformation programs and projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills to influence key internal/external stakeholders
- A professional Project/Change Management Certification would be beneficial
