**The Opportunity**

The School is currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Lecturer or Lecturer (Education Focused) to contribute to the teaching effort of the University, particularly at undergraduate and graduate diploma level and carry out activities to develop their scholarly, research and/or professional expertise relevant to the profession or discipline.

The Graduate Diploma of Psychology (GDP) is a fully online APAC accredited Psychology course and is designed to allow graduates of other disciplines to retrain in psychology. This position will work closely with the Assistant Course Convenors to facilitate the teaching coordination of units within the GDP.
- Design, deliver and evaluate a range of teaching activities which engage students actively and which effectively deliver learning outcomes (across activities such as lectures and tutorials
- Consult with students and demonstrate a student-centred orientation
- Foster learning environments that are flexible, student-centred and inclusive, and utilise a mix of teaching and learning technologies, as appropriate
- Undertake marking and provision of feedback within and across units as required and implement a consistent approach

An honours degree or higher qualifications in the relevant discipline and/or progress towards a doctorate in the relevant discipline; or a doctorate in the relevant discipline or a closely related field is required for this role. You will have a demonstrated record of teaching experience in a tertiary environment, developing teaching material and proven ability, commitment and passion for engaging in scholarly and research activities. A passion for quality online education and education innovation is critical for this role.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
