Trainee Drafter

**THE BUSINESS**

Established in 2004 from our head office in Warrington UK, ELLUC Projects remains a family-owned engineering consulting practice.

Following our success in the UK, ELLUC Projects entered into a contractual agreement with NSW State Government in October 2019 for our investment to create jobs of the future in digital engineering out of Tweed Heads, NSW and now in Ipswich, QLD.

We have committed to grow our Australian offices to 65 employees over the next 5 years while investing in ELLUC’s core digital engineering skills. Our Tweed Heads & Ipswich offices will provide us with the resources to fully design & detail in 3D to significantly reduce the risk of delays & overspend in building & infrastructure projects, alongside increasing safety and innovation in construction.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Reporting directly to Senior Detailing Manager’s, the role of Trainee Drafter / Detailer will offer significant opportunities for career progression, combined with the opportunity for part time study for a Certificate IV.

ELLUC Projects are searching for an individual with the desire & attitude to develop a successful long-term career within our growing business. On the job training will be provided to develop your skills and knowledge of our industry and processes. You will learn skills with:

- Assisting the team with producing TEKLA models for building & infrastructure projects.
- Drafting of general arrangement & elevation drawings for precast projects.
- Assisting with detailing of precast panels & reinforcing steel.
- Producing shop floor drawings for Precast panels (GA’s, Reinforcement drawings & bar bending schedules)
- Providing assistance on amending drawings against comments.

**PREFERRED SKILLS**
- Good understanding of the construction projects
- High school qualifications
- Work experience within assisting of drafting on construction projects
- Attitude to learn and develop your skills into a long term career opportunity
- Good communication skills
- Experience of drafting packages (Autocad, Revit etc..)

**REMUNERATION**

Approximately $40,000.00 per year depending on skills and experience (+ superannuation).
Permanent full-time, Monday to Friday.

**WORK AUTHORISATION**:
Work rights in Australia required.

**Salary**: From $38,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
